Just spent $1800 on a bed. :O

The downside is that I'm really, really, poor right now.  But the upside is that it's one of those orthopedic beds, and will be worth its weight in painless sleep.

If it does what it's supposed to, I will not be disappointed...

And I'm fine with it. My LJ looks fine as it is, and I'm not having any trouble reading or posting. Why spend money when I don't have to?

My muse stayed with me to the very end this time, and here is the final chapter to the story.

Chapter III

I wound up spending last weekend in a hospital. Even though I don't have a gall bladder, I still wound up with gall stones. they're out now, and-one week later-I'm feeling better now.

I sure hope that doesn't happen again...

Chuck Vs the Deja Vu

The AT&T U-Verse folks had held an Open House in my building about a month back to get people to subscribe to their service. I though it looked interesting, so I signed up for an installation for 9/23...

Well, they sent someone to install the service, but there was one little fly in the ointment. They hadn't wired the building yet. *Where's an angry Smiley when you need one?*

You would think they would make sure the building was wired before making us give up a workday just to be there for the installation; right?

Apparently not...

Well, it looks like I'm going to stay with my Cable provider for just a while more...

It's slow going this time, for whatever reason.

However, this chapter will also have Operation Mi'Hen, and-hopefully-at the end, Rikku, Yuna, and Kimahri will also join the gang.

I appeared at the Superior Court on the appointed day, at the appointed time...

I got to see two short films on the rights and responsibilities of Jurors; then-after a mere two hour wait-they let me go. Apparently they didn't need me this time.

Now, I'm good for another three years... :)

I've just received a summons to report for Jury Duty! Eeks!

New cabinets, new dishwasher, new fridge, new oven, new microwave, even a new sink!

This is probably going to take all summer to get everything done, all my stuff in there will be new!

Last Friday, my micorwave died, so on Saturday, I went to get another one at a local Wallmart. Now, I don't have a car, so I had to take a bus to the place, get the darn thing, call a cab, and pay a little extra to have the big strong taxi driver carry it to my door. Once inside, I set to work plugging it in, and found it was dead, right out of the package... >:(

So, I had to wait until Monday, tote that dead monstrosity back to Wallmart to get a refund. I got the refund easily enough.

So, I decided to go to my local Buy More...err...Best Buy, and see if they had one. They did, and I'm paying a little extra to have them deliver. And they have me scheduled for Thursday... :(

No microwave until then... :(
